The Dutch manufacturer Donkervoort has just introduced the Donkervoort P24 RS, a supercar weighing only 770 kg that produces 600 horsepower.
While the Netherlands is not exactly known for its cars, in its nearly 50 years of history, Donkervoort has built a reputation for producing two-seater supercars that can leave anyone wide-eyed.

And this certainly seems to be the case with the Donkervoort P24 RS, an ultra-light supercar that weighs just 770 kg and produces an impressive 600 horsepower, all thanks to the 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 engine from the Ford GT.
The P24 RS takes less than 2.5 seconds to reach 100 km/h and just 7.3 seconds to reach 200 km/h. “We had the option not to use a standard Ford or Audi turbo, but rather to create a completely custom turbo, made specifically for us,” said CEO Denis Donkervoort to Motor 1.

“We said that we have a total weight of under 800 kilograms, with about 600 horsepower. But we want two things: zero turbo lag and very precise throttle response.”
However, this performance comes at a cost: its starting price is $355,000, not including taxes and options. Only 150 units will be produced, and about a third of that quantity has already been reserved, according to Car and Driver.
